Awhile ago I was sent some Lord Poppington's popcorn. First up I have to say that I love the packaging and the fact that they have this eccentric character as part of the branding, and the colours make them really stand out. They come in four flavours, Lightly Sea Salted, Chilli and Lime, Four Cheeses, and Sweet and Salty.
I am a huge fan of anything sweet and salty- you all know that salted caramel chocolate is my favourite, and I have been known to buy Sweet and Salty flavoured popcorn in the past, so this is the one I was most excited for, and it didn't disappoint! Sweet and Salty anything is my idea of the perfect snack.
Generally I prefer sweet popcorn over salty: sweet tooth alert! So I have to say that I wasn't overly excited by the sea salted variety. I didn't dislike it, and I wouldn't turn down a packet, but with other much more exciting flavours in the range, these were my least favourite. I know there are a lot of people who aren't the biggest fan of the more adventurous flavours, so for all you vanilla lovers out there, this one is for you!
Now up the two flavours I was most intrigued by, Four Cheeses and Chilli and Lime. I knew that with these two flavours, it could go either way, I would either love them or hate them!
First, I tried the Four Cheeses, and I really loved them, the cheese flavour wasn't artificial at all, and although quite strong, I found the popcorn to cheese ratio was perfect, and they weren't overpowering.
Next I tried the Chili and Lime, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised: I'm not sure I've tasted anything like them before. They have just the right amount of spiciness to them, and the lime just cuts through that spiciness perfectly. For me, they are one of those things that I'm not sure why I like them, and they are very more-ish.
The Sea Salted, Chilli and Lime, and Four Cheeses come in 20g bags, the first being 96 calories and the latter two being 94. However, the Sweet and Salty bags are slightly larger at 30g and come in at 128 calories, so all of them can be fit into a healthy diet, and are a good treat if you are calorie counting too. They are also available in bigger bags if you feel like sharing! I mostly ate these while watching films for the aunthentic experience, and I would prefer a bag of these over what you buy at the cinema any day! They are available to buy on Amazon

Hi there, I'm glad I stumbled across your blog- I think I'll have to have a look for these, I love the mix of sweet and salty too! :)
